UP hikes ministers’ salary, allowances

The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a raise in the salary and perks of legislators, Assembly speaker, Council chairman and ministers. “The government has decided to hike the salary and perks of members in both the Houses to Rs 50,000 per month from existing Rs 30,000,” Chief Minister Mayawati announced in the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council on Monday.
